Art Trip Spain

July 2 - 16, 2010

From Baroque to the early 20th century; from El Greco to Dali; from Baroque to Surrealism.  For 14 full days, we lead our group in Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, Toledo, Sevilla and Figueres. We make the necessary arrangements so we talk and exchange knowledge in the Prado, the Reina Sofia, the Thyssen, and the Picasso Museums. Elements of Islamic art and culture are parts of the curriculum while visiting the Alhambra and the Sevilla Alcázarar.

Our unique Art History/Seminar Tours are intended to students of all ages, lifelong learners and everyone interested in the arts; you do not need to be an art student. Our art trips usually last 14 days. They are a fine combination of museum visits, city exploration, lectures, meals and fun. We stay in small hôtels and pensione, and sometime we eat "on the go" (sur le pouce in French). We travel like the Europeans: by subway, by train; and we also walk a lot. Needless to say, participants return to North America overwhelmed by their icscis experience.

On schedule

For 14 days we will be establish camp in three cities : Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla. From these cities, we will radiate to Toledo, Figueres and Granada.  In 14 days, you will see the master works of El Greco, Picasso, Dali, Velasquez, Bosch, Miró, Gris and much more; and learn on Renaissance, Baroque, Cubism, Surrealism, and much more!
